Ever wonder what the original lyrics in German were, but didn't know German? Well, you could try using Altavista's Babelfish Translation, or now there's this:

I'm not sure who wrote the original English lyrics, but they certainly did a good job at capturing the original spirit of the song. I think it's neat both versions work in Captin Kirk, even if they do come in different stanzas.
